Maintenance Electrician
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment. Candidates should be comfortable reading electrical schematics, using electrical testing equipment, and performing preventive maintenance while following all safety procedures.
What We're Looking For - Previous experience as a Marine Electrician, Industrial Electrician, or Commercial Electrician in a shipyard, marine construction, vessel repair, or heavy industrial environment.
- Ability to read and work from electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and installation instructions.
- Experience with conduit installation, cable pulling, wire terminations, lighting, motors, panels, controls, and electrical distribution systems.
- Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and testing procedures.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, layout tools, and electrical test equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to understand, follow, and communicate written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable attendance, solid work ethic, and ability to work both independently and as part of a crew.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; relevant electrical experience will be considered.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements - Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, vessel access points, and elevated work areas.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, including vessel compartments, tanks, and restricted-access areas.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift tools and materials throughout the shift.
- Must be available for overtime, nights, weekends, and varying shifts as project workload requires.
- Must provide required personal trade tools.
- Must follow all site safety policies, PPE requirements, and project rules at all times.
